The team at the University of Tartu were thrilled to welcome an enthusiastic and motivated group of first-year students to the University of Tartu to begin their IMCEERES journey!

The diversity of ideas and eagerness to engage in meaningful discussions left them incredibly impressed and excited about the semester ahead! We also caught up with one of our new students, Klára, to hear her thoughts on the day and share some photos, which you can read below.

“Although I was nervous about arriving to Tartu and ending up lonely, I was surprised when the induction days proved me wrong. Their structure naturally led me to clear any uncertainties about the programme and get to know many of my classmates – and now I find myself surrounded by friends almost all the time as we go through the programme’s requirements, do sports together or explore Tartu.

The excursion to the Estonian National Museum along with our key instructors was not only enlightening thanks to the insight into Estonian culture and history, but also a nice opportunity to let sink in that an academic environment doesn’t have to be strictly rigid and hierarchical, but open and welcoming)) I’m looking forwards for what’s coming after the first days!”
